If desired, use the Mode button to select a different detection mode. (ZERO-DISC JEWELRY COINS

3. Edit the Settings.

If desired, adjust the Sensitivity setting. (SENSITIVITY)

4. Start scanning.

  • Hold the searchcoil about 2-3 cm above the ground and move the coil left and right for about 1m / second to scan. The head must be in motion for target detection.
  • Open the shaft lock by turning it to the right. Place the plastic gaskets on the lower shaft connection point. Connect the search coil to the body as shown below and tighten the wing nut manually.
  • Loosen the upper shaft lock, insert the S-shaft with the control unit, adjust the lower shaft to the desired length and tighten the shaft interlocks by hand. Wind the cable securely around the body so that the first bend of the cable is on top of the body.

Power ON / OFF— Press this button to be able to turn the power on.

ON or OFF

Factory Settings — To refresh the factory settings, press and hold the power button for 5 seconds (until the detector emits a fast double beep) Low Battery Indicator — When the device’s batteries are running low, the Low Battery Indicator will be on.

Scale Down – Presents the current discrimination pattern with burned pixels indicating approved targets and blank pixels showing rejected targets.
Target ID Cursor (Upper Scale) – Will display images for each target but will only produce sounds for targets approved on the Lower Scale.

Target ID Indicator – Works with the Target ID Image to make possible identification of a target. Also on the left is Ferrous (iron) targets, non-ferrous targets, or targets with poor or low conductivity in the middle, and thick or high targets (eg thick silver) to the right.

Garrett Ace 300i Detector – Garrett Detector

Digital Target ID – Provides a value from 0 to 99 to identify targets more precisely than the D cursor. Coin Depth Indicator – shows the depth of a coin, or a similar sized target. Note: targets larger than a coin may appear to be shallower than true depth, while targets smaller than a coin may appear deeper than true depth. The sample chart on the next page presents the Digital Target ID sequences of some common parts.

Digital Target ID – Target ID can vary depending on the size and thickness of the target because small weak metals may not detect as much electrical current as thick pieces of metal. Additionally, mineralized soils can cause Target ID errors, especially for small targets. Tip: Target ID is most reliable under the target search coil when scanning the coil and at a certain distance from the ground.

Tone ID — The ACE 300i  generates three distinctive tones based on the target’s metal type and conductivity. • High conductivity targets (Digital ID> 60) generate a unique buzzer signal. • Medium to low conductivity targets (Digital ID 40–60) generate a medium height signal.
• Ferrous targets (Digital ID <40) produce a low pitch signal. Headphone Jack — use any headphones with a 1/4 ”plug.
For example: this is the preset notch discrimination pattern for COINS Mode, select one of the three preset discrimination patterns using the MODE key to cycle through the three modes:

Garrett Detector – Modes

• ZERO-DISC Mode – Detects all types of metal. All 5 discrimination pixels are on; No metal target has been eliminated. Use this mode to find all metal items or if the material of the desired object is unknown. If its signal is not continuous, you can turn on Zero-Disc Mode to detect a target. Such signals could mean that a trash target is next to a good target.

• JEWELRY Mode – Most jewelry such as rings, bracelets, watches and necklaces are designed to ignore iron waste.

• COINS Mode – designed to find most types of coins and also to remove trash items such as iron and foil. Some unintended parts that would respond as foils may disappear. Empty targets, such as aluminum cans, can also be excavated.

Garrett Ace 300i Detector Sensitive Mode

Use the SENSITIVITY buttons to enter the four (4) levels. Use increased sensitivity when searching very small or deep targets.
Use sensitivity levels if the detector behaves erratically (due to dense metal trash, highly mineralized soils, electrical interference, or the presence of another metal detector) and the erratic operation cannot be resolved by discrimination.

You should do quality tests to get to know the operation of your detector better.

Garrett Ace 300i Detector Quality Test

1. Place the searchcoil on a flat, non- metallic surface that is a few meters from other metal objects .
2. Select the ZERO-DISC mode.
3. 8-10 cm from the searchcoil. Throw various metal objects (coins, bottle caps, nails, etc.) away. Your metal detector will identify your target both by audio and visual means .
4. Apply this test in all available modes on your detector Observe the shapes as well as the sounds on the LCD, which is in every mode
.
5. Record the results of your quality test and follow them when hunting in the field .

Once you understand how your test targets are registered in the Target ID during quality testing, try them out in the soil. Bury your targets in recorded depths and create a “test field”. Note the variability of targets lying flat on the ground or at different angles. Use accurate registers or surface markers to show your test area targets and depths. Try retesting these targets within a few months after the soil has settled, during periods of extremely dry or after a very wet rain.

HUNTING TIPS WITH YOUR ACE 300i

• If you are new to metal detecting, start detecting in sandy and loose soils. This makes it easier to learn the metal detector, pinpoint and how to dig targets. • Always keep the height of the searchcoil 2-3 cm above and parallel to the ground for best detection results. • Keep your searchcoil parallel to the plow line and the water’s edge. This will minimize the adverse effects caused by unbalanced soil in plowed fields and moist areas near water. Do not swing the searchcoil perpendicular to the plow line and the water’s edge. Because this can cause abrupt changes in ground response that will reduce detector performance. • Walk slowly as you scan your searchcoil in a straight line sideways at a speed of 1 meter per second.

METAL DETECTION RULES – CAUTIONS

METAL DETECTION RULES

The Code of Ethics that many treasure hunters and clubs follow to protect our existing metal detecting sport are set out below. We recommend that you do the same: • I will respect private and public property, all historical and archaeological sections, and will not do metal detecting in these areas without proper permits. • I will be knowledgeable and will comply with all local and national regulations regarding the discovery and reporting of treasures found. • Whenever possible I will assist law enforcement officers. • I will not intentionally cause damage to any type of property, including wires, signals and buildings. • I will always fill the pits I dug. • I will not damage the remains of property, buildings or abandoned structures. • I will not leave garbage or other discarded debris around. • I will fill all trash and dug areas every time I leave the search area. • I will observe the Golden Rule and use good outdoor etiquette and metal detection
I will behave in a personality that will contribute to the personality and social images of all people involved in the field.

When searching for treasure with your Garrett detector , take the following precautions:

• Never trespass or hunt on private property without permission.
• National and state parks / monuments and military areas etc. strictly prohibited.
• Stay away from areas where electric currents or pipelines may be buried. If you find it, do not proceed with your transaction and report the appropriate authorities.
• Use reasonable caution in case any target is scratched. Especially if you are not sure about the situation.
• If you are unsure of using your metal detector in any area, always seek permission from the appropriate authorities.

Garrett Ace 300i Detector Maintenance

Your Garrett detector is durable and designed for outdoor use. However, like any electronic equipment, there are a few simple ways you can take it to maintain its high performance.

• Whenever you can, avoid extreme situations in the summer, such as keeping your detector outside in a car garage or below zero.
• Keep your detector clean. Dismantle and wipe the stem, keep the control housing and searchcoil clean with a warm cloth as needed.
• Please note that your searchcoil may be submerged, but the control socket and connections will not.
• Protect the control unit from heavy fog, rain and waves.
• Remove the batteries from the detector if it will be stored for more than one month.
• When replacing batteries, use quality alkaline or rechargeable batteries and replace with new batteries for optimum performance.

Informative Text To Know Before Buying A Detector For All Our Products

In addition to being an enjoyable hobby, searching for gold in treasure hunting involves some technical issues. If you are going to buy a device to search for treasure; Ask your dealer about the warranty status of the detector brand you are going to buy.

Then, when you determine your own search area of the detector you will buy, get information about its suitability for the land or region conditions. Do not buy a detector without researching depth.

In today’s technology, every detector has features of depth, durability and ease of use. For deep searches, first underground imaging devices should be provided, not detectors .

If you are using any  underground imaging device or field scanning device , you should definitely use a treasure detector, gold detector or metal detector for the separation of the precious metal you are looking for .

Because underground imaging devices are used in detecting the room, cellar, void or water zone; The detector is used to detect the precious metal inside. The most preferred detectors in treasure hunting are surface search detectors. Deep Search Detector is mainly used to find deeper treasures. Do not decide on your Deep Detector preferences without consulting us. Our expert engineers will recommend you the best detector . Detector for sale or rent detector in the right place you are looking for.
